The
Cliffs Story
Nestled deep in the heart of Northern Minnesota lies some of the most unique geological structures in the world. The Cliffs Natural Stone site has been blessed with an abundance of beautiful stone with a rainbow of color, sizes, and textures. This allowed for the creation of Cliffs Natural Stone in 2002, which became the marketing arm for this unique product.
From the beginning we knew that Virginia Slate would be a widely used product with its flat, smooth surfaces, the steppers and flagstones have become our best sellers. In addition we offer the Virginia Slate product in veneer, wallstone, steps, and large unique outcroppings.
Virginia SlateThe Cliffs Natural Stone site has an enormous supply of large colorful boulders ranging from Green Diopside, Jasper Algo, Banded Taconite, and Marble. In addition we have some of the largest known quantities of Fossilized Algo Stromatolites in three distinct colors, red, green, and black. In 2003 Cliffs Natural Stone became the process of selecting and sawing large unique boulders. We began fabricating steps, wallstone, flagstone, countertops, and tabletops using Diopside, Banded Taconite, and Marble.
